Nader Sculpture Park Celebrates the Arrival of New Fernando Botero Sculptures and the Unveiling of Soraya Abu Naba’a’s First Monumental Work

ader Sculpture Park, located in the heart of the Miami Design District, hosted a special evening on Thursday, October 30, celebrating two significant artistic milestones: the arrival of a series of medium-scale sculptures by Fernando Botero and the unveiling of Chroma Emotiva, the first monumental sculpture by Soraya Abu Naba’a.

With these new additions, the park strengthens its role as a leading destination for monumental art in Miami. The newly arrived Botero sculptures; female figures at rest, dancers in motion, horses, and symbolic animals, join the park’s open-air collection of more than 50 works by world-renowned artists, including Fernando Botero, Robert Indiana, Richard Hudson, Bernar Venet, Jesús Rafael Soto, Oswaldo Vigas, Ahmed Al Bahrani, Rachel Valdés, Edgar Plans, Aurora Cañero, and Soraya Abu Naba’a, among others.

Chroma Emotiva marks a pivotal moment in Abu Naba’a’s artistic career. Crafted in polished stainless steel, the monumental sculpture invites viewers to reflect on the emotional language of flowers—symbols of gratitude, hope, and human connection—while contemplating their own image mirrored within the work.

“Botero’s sculptures embody the soul of Latin American art—monumental, human, and profoundly universal. Their arrival reaffirms our commitment to making Miami a global reference for public art. Soraya’s work, in contrast, opens a new chapter: a dialogue between tradition and contemporaneity, between the weight of bronze and the lightness of reflection. Together, they represent the essence of Nader Sculpture Park,» said Gary Nader, Founder of Gary Nader Art Centre and Nader Sculpture Park.
